Camping at Makoppas Nest is for guests who want to be closer to the bushveld and enjoy a simpler, slower way of staying.
River campsites
There are four unique campsites available. Three of the campsites are situated right beside the Mogalakwena River, while the fourth is set quietly between the bush and koppies on the larger farm.
Each river camp has a small stoep area with a beautiful view over the water, giving guests a place to sit, drink coffee, prepare meals, talk, read or simply watch the river move past.

The river setting is ideal for guests who want peaceful outdoor time, fishing weekends and a simple place to slow down near the water.
Bathroom / practical proof
The bathrooms have been newly renovated, giving campers the benefit of a more comfortable and practical camping setup. Each river camp also has a donkey boiler for hot water.
Because the campsites are near a natural river system, guests must take care near the water. Children should be supervised at all times, and guests should not swim in or enter the river.
